Job Description
Submitted applications will be actively reviewed and this position will be filled as the hiring authority sees fit.
- Learn to plan and care for a variety of plantings and turf at the Great Plains Zoo at Sherman Park areas.
- Lead ornamental planting management practices in assigned areas.
- Weekly water management, flower dead heading, weed management, disease/insect control, garden mowing schedule, etc.
- Diagnose irrigation issues and perform repairs.
- Attend and participate in project management, event coordination, and stake holder relationship functions.
- Students enrolled in a Horticulture, Turf Management, or Parks and Recreation curriculum, or related field, as a full-time student at a college, university, or vocational technical school.
- Ability to work as a team member and collaborate effectively with others.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to work a 40-hour flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
