Overview of the Role:

The Manufacturing Engineer will report to the Director of Quality & Manufacturing Engineering and support critical operations across production, testing, and documentation processes. This role will not only oversee traditional manufacturing engineering responsibilities but will also work closely with customer service and field technicians to manage technical resources. You will lead product validation testing (PVT) and create key process documentation to ensure quality and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Support Manufacturing Operations:

• Develop and refine manufacturing processes to boost efficiency, safety, and quality.
• Design and maintain tooling, fixtures, and other production aids.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing challenges.

Technical Resource for Customer Support:

• Serve as a go-to expert for the customer service team and field technicians, providing technical insights to resolve complex product issues.
• Prepare and update training resources to improve team knowledge and technical support capabilities.

Product Validation Testing (PVT):

• Plan, execute, and oversee validation testing for new products and IoT firmware updates.
• Collaborate with R&D and quality teams to evaluate test results and make recommendations for improvement.

Documentation Creation:

• Draft and maintain manufacturing process instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and quality process documentation.
• Assist in the development of critical operations documentation to drive consistency and scalability.

Drive Continuous Improvement:

• Work with the engineering and operations teams to identify and implement process enhancements.
• Proactively propose solutions for operational challenges, fostering a culture of innovation.

What We're Looking For:

Our Ideal Candidate Has:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role, ideally with consumer products or IoT devices.
• Proven knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
