About This Position

Luxury Brand Holdings, a portfolio of fine jewelry brands, including Ross-Simons, America’s Favorite Jeweler is seeking an Associate Creative Director- Digital Design & Content (based in our Cranston, RI office) within The Creative Group, our diverse and talented in-house agency. Our team, along with our portfolio of brands are going through an exciting period of expansion and transformation. The Associate Creative Director has a key leadership role to help continue our transformation for the LBH portfolio of brands; Ross Simons, Rare Luxuries, RS-Pure, and Canaria. This person reports to the Vice President of Creative working collaboratively to ideate and implement design concepts for marketing initiatives across LBH digital assets that include, emails, websites, digital advertising, and social media including the leadership of campaigns with a diverse grouping of customer touchpoints.

This role is both a ‘hands-on designer and art director’ as well as direct a team of designers and art directors to make conceptual and aesthetic decisions while creating layouts, mockups and prototypes to effectively illustrate their design ideas to other members of the team or senior management.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Drive the delivery of high level of creative development and innovation.

- Lead the ideation and collaborative development of creative projects within The Creative Group, across business units, and with other internal and external resources to deliver world-class, compelling art direction, design, and overall creative work that is on-time, on-budget, and on-strategy.

- Apply ‘lessons learned’ and continuously improve the way that work is developed and delivered – champion innovation with a customer lense on creative solutions.

- Allocate resources appropriately to projects, understanding work in the pipeline and anticipating needs and requests.

Lead and Manage Design Team.

- Recruit, train and coach direct reports to support and foster their individual development.

- Take actions that ensure a cohesive and collaborative Digital Design & Content team that meets the highest level of creative excellence.

- Participate in identifying needs, planning, coordinating, and executing training and development of the team.

- Model account service excellence and best practices that influence the broader Creative Group.

Manage and develop relationships with business partners.

- Build strong “trusted advisor” relationships with collaborators within The Creative Group and other business partners across the organization to ensure that initiatives meet business objectives and deadlines.

- Build rapport and respect with project stakeholders to impact and influence outcomes beneficial to the business.

- Anticipate requests and understand and fulfill information needs of Marketing and Merchandizing partners.

- Be able to negotiate compromises, have challenging conversations, and manage up/across/down within and across teams in a positive and collaborative spirit.

- Play leadership role in facilitating trend insights, and innovation to the broader team.

Experience and Required Qualifications

  • BA Degree in design, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years of related industry experience, with 3+ years of experience as an Art Director managing a team
  • Experience collaborating with photographers and art directing still life, beauty, jewelry, or similar types of photoshoots
  • Ability to be a “hands on designer” as well as lead the creative process from ideation to launch, ensuring excellence, consistency and quality of design throughout.
  • Related work experience in the luxury, fashion or beauty industries is preferred
  • Excellent sense of aesthetic design and a keen eye for visual hierarchy and composition
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe CC
  • Drive for innovation and proactively seeks knowledge in trends and emerging technologies
  • Meticulous attention to detail and an ongoing commitment to achieving high quality results
  • Clear and effective communication skills in articulating concepts and rationales
  • Excellent organizational skills, a natural collaborator, but can work well independently
