About the Role
We’re looking for a proactive and energized Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator who’s not afraid to get their boots dirty. This isn’t a desk job—we need someone ready to step into the field alongside our service teams and out on the floor inside our manufacturing plant. You’ll build real relationships with teammates and clients alike, all while driving a culture of safety from the ground up.

💰 Compensation
- Base Salary: $50,000 - $70,000
- Semi-annual performance profit sharing bonus

🕐 Schedule & Travel
- Typical Hours: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (average 45 hours per week)
(With early starts, off-shift work, and overtime as needed to support your team) - Out of Town Travel: Up to 20%

🔧 What You'll Do
As our Environmental, Health & Safety Coordinator, you’ll lead the charge in creating a culture of safety that’s proactive, practical, and people-focused—both in the field and on the plant floor. Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinate and deliver safety training across the organization, including new hire orientations, OSHA 10, tool and equipment training, fire extinguisher use, lift equipment safety, and more.
- Design, develop, and implement comprehensive health and safety programs that meet or exceed OSHA, federal, state, and local regulations.
- Facilitate impactful training sessions on essential EHS topics such as fall protection, confined space entry, respiratory protection, hearing conservation, and scaffolding safety.
- Manage OSHA compliance, including annual reporting, recordkeeping, internal audits, and response management.
- Identify and track safety concerns, working closely with leadership and team members to implement corrective actions and monitor project progress.
- Lead incident and accident investigations, reporting findings and managing cases through the full Worker’s Compensation process, including return-to-work coordination.
- Maintain and organize all EHS documentation, including policies, written programs, and training materials, ensuring timely submission to state and federal agencies when required.
- Review and implement current health and safety guidelines, keeping HCRBrands aligned with evolving legal and regulatory standards.
- Build and maintain relationships with external agencies, including OSHA, Labor & Industry, and the Department of Transportation.
- Oversee PPE programs, ensuring availability, proper usage, and compliance across all operational areas.
- Manage safety compliance through third-party portals, ensuring documentation is complete, current, and aligned with client expectations.
- Conduct regular safety and compliance audits at client sites and HCRBrands facilities, requiring frequent travel (day and/or overnight).
- Develop and maintain disaster and emergency response plans, ensuring readiness for natural disasters or other business-impacting incidents.
- Proactively identify job hazards and risks, and collaborate with leadership to eliminate or mitigate them.
- Ensure adherence to client Safe Work Practices (SWPs) and provide on-site support to uphold these standards.
- Manage fleet safety programs, including telematics systems and driver safety training.
- Attend client-mandated safety trainings, staying current with site-specific safety standards and protocols.
- Vet suppliers and subcontractors to ensure alignment with HCRBrands’ safety values and compliance requirements.
- Champion environmental conservation initiatives, identifying and managing opportunities to reduce environmental impact.
✅ Your Experience & Skills
- 3+ years of experience in Environmental Health & Safety, preferably in a manufacturing and/or field service environment
- Proven track record of developing and implementing OSHA-compliant safety programs
- Hands-on experience conducting safety training sessions across a range of EHS topics
- Experience leading incident investigations and managing Worker’s Compensation cases
- Familiarity with maintaining OSHA logs and submitting required state and federal reports
- Background in working with regulatory agencies (e.g., OSHA, DOT, Labor & Industry)
- Strong working knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations, including OSHA standards
- Excellent communication and presentation skills—comfortable engaging with teams on the floor and in the field
- Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to make real-time safety decisions
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills to manage records and compliance documentation
- Technically adept with safety management systems, reporting tools, and compliance portals
- Ability to travel frequently for on-site safety audits, client training, and compliance visits
- Capable of managing PPE programs, fleet safety initiatives, and third-party safety documentation portals
- OSHA 10 or 30 Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience with disaster preparedness planning
- Background in environmental conservation or sustainability efforts
