The Facility Technician is responsible for maintaining the functionality and safety of the organization’s facilities. This includes performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the optimal performance of building systems. The technician will work closely with the facility management team to support daily operations and respond to maintenance requests. This person must be available to work nights and weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

      Maintenance and Repairs:
Perform routine maintenance tasks on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and building infrastructure.
Conduct inspections of building facilities to identify and resolve issues.
Repair or replace defective equipment and fixtures as needed.
      Preventive Maintenance:
Implement and adhere to a preventive maintenance schedule for all facility systems and equipment.
Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
      Troubleshooting:
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing problems.
Utilize various tools and equipment to perform repairs efficiently.
      Safety and Compliance:
Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety standards and building codes.
Conduct safety inspections and address any hazards or non-compliance issues.
      Emergency Response:
Respond promptly to facility-related emergencies, such as power outages, water leaks, or system failures.
Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergency response.
      Facility Projects:
Assist in planning and executing facility improvement projects.
Coordinate with contractors and vendors as needed for specialized repairs or installations.
      Inventory and Supplies:
Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
Order and replenish supplies as needed to ensure continuous operation.
      Documentation:
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
