Heatset Web Operator – Job Description

At Aradius Group, our press operators are craftsmen who bring print projects to life through precision, experience, and attention to detail. We are seeking an experienced Heatset Web Operator to run our Baker Perkins G14 web press and ensure high-quality production while maintaining efficiency and safety standards.

This role plays a key part in delivering consistent print quality and meeting production timelines for our clients.

Schedule / Shift Options

• Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
  

What You’ll Do:

• Operate and oversee production on the Baker Perkins G14 web press.
• Set up and adjust press settings, including ink, registration, web tension, and dryer controls, according to job specifications.
• Monitor print quality throughout the press run, ensuring proper ink density, registration, and color consistency.
• Track production time and job data using Auto Count software.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting to prevent downtime and maintain press performance.
• Conduct quality checks throughout production to ensure materials meet customer and company standards.
• Collaborate with prepress, finishing, and mailroom teams to maintain a smooth workflow.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment while following safety procedures.

Who We Are Looking For:

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to print quality.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot press-related issues.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with production teams.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What You Bring:

• Experience operating Baker Perkins G14 or similar web presses.
• Knowledge of web printing processes, including press setup, ink management, and registration.
• Experience tracking production data using Auto Count or similar systems preferred.
• Basic computer skills for job tracking and data entry.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as required in press operations.
• Flexibility to work overtime or occasional weekends based on production needs.
