Maintenance Technician job description:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance, repair, and construction tasks to support safe, functional, and high-quality facilities. This role requires proficiency in carpentry, drywall repair, basic electrical work, plumbing, flooring installation/repair, and light welding. The technician will travel up to 75% of the time, including overnight stays.

Essential Job Functions:

• Perform general maintenance including carpentry and drywall.
• Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical issues.
• Conduct plumbing repairs and fixture installations.
• Install and repair flooring materials.
• Complete light welding tasks.
• Diagnose issues and complete work orders.
• Maintain accurate work records.
• Assist with preventative maintenance programs.
• Support renovation and improvement projects.
• Respond to emergency repairs.
• Ensure safety procedures are being followed.

Requirements

Preferred Skills/Knowledge:

• 1-2 years' experience in each of the following:
  • Carpentry and drywall experience.
  • Basic electrical troubleshooting.
  • Plumbing repair skills.
  • Flooring installation experience.
  • Light welding ability.
• 3-5 years of maintenance experience commercial environment.
• Trade certifications in electrical, plumbing, carpentry.
• 10 hour OSHA certification
• Demonstrated Strong communication skills.
• High school diploma required or equivalent.

Other Job information:

• Travel to multiple facilities (75% with overnight stays).
• Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle.
• Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance.
• Ability to work extend hours, in environments that can be cold, hot and dusty.
