Maintenance Technician job description:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance, repair, and construction tasks to support safe, functional, and high-quality facilities. This role requires proficiency in carpentry, drywall repair, basic electrical work, plumbing, flooring installation/repair, and light welding. The technician will travel up to 75% of the time, including overnight stays.
Essential Job Functions:
- Perform general maintenance including carpentry and drywall.
- Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical issues.
- Conduct plumbing repairs and fixture installations.
- Install and repair flooring materials.
- Complete light welding tasks.
- Diagnose issues and complete work orders.
- Maintain accurate work records.
- Assist with preventative maintenance programs.
- Support renovation and improvement projects.
- Respond to emergency repairs.
- Ensure safety procedures are being followed.
Requirements
Preferred Skills/Knowledge:
- 1-2 years' experience in each of the following:
- Carpentry and drywall experience.
- Basic electrical troubleshooting.
- Plumbing repair skills.
- Flooring installation experience.
- Light welding ability.
- 3-5 years of maintenance experience commercial environment.
- Trade certifications in electrical, plumbing, carpentry.
- 10 hour OSHA certification
- Demonstrated Strong communication skills.
- High school diploma required or equivalent.
Other Job information:
- Travel to multiple facilities (75% with overnight stays).
- Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle.
- Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance.
- Ability to work extend hours, in environments that can be cold, hot and dusty.
