POSITION: Maintenance Technician

DEPARTMENT: Engineering

LOCATION: Kneads Bakeshop

REPORTS TO: Director of Engineering

Salary- $25-$30 per hr

Job Overview

Maintenance technicians support operations by maintaining the facility and equipment. The maintenance team safely performs scheduled preventative maintenance, as-needed repairs and floor calls for all facets of a modern bakery, kitchen, and restaurant. This is a position where a candidate can continue to improve their skills and grow into more advanced roles.

Role & Responsibilities

· Maintain a safe working environment.

· Complete preventative and predictive maintenance tasks, both while running and during scheduled shutdowns.

· Utilize CMMS software.

· Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, HVACR, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.

· Answer calls for maintenance quickly and fully prepared to make any repairs needed.

· Be visible and readily available to assist other maintenance team members and all other departments.

· Must be food safety minded with attention to detail being critical when working on food-contact equipment or anywhere near the products.

· Provide and maintain your own hand tools, including, but not limited to wrench sets, miscellaneous pliers, socket sets, hammers, punches, etc.

· Share and implement a continuous improvement, customer-focused mindset.

· Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

· Must be willing and able to work different shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

· Eager to learn and continuously improve.

· High school diploma or equivalent. Technical coursework or certifications and continuing education encouraged.

· Excellent mechanical ability and aptitude.

· Strong understanding of and aptitude with basic tools.

· Browser-based computer software experience.

· Ability to lift and carry at least 50lbs.

· Ability to work on your feet for hours at a time, and in hot environments.
