The cook is responsible for creating high quality meal and dining experience for customers by preparing and serving attractive, nutritious and palatable meals consistent with regulations and established policies, procedures and best practices. The cook must be able to:

Present attractive, nutritious and palatable meals for residents.

Assist with meal service to residents using customer feedback regarding the quality and satisfaction of meals to make changes if needed. Maintain effective communication systems with residents and staff.

Maintain accurate meal documentation records per established procedures.

Ensure and assist with cleaning and sanitizing equipment and work areas.

Create a positive dining experience for residents that promotes their independence, choice and overall well-being.

Demonstrate the ability to safely and effectively use all the necessary equipment.

Must be able to prep, cook, clean up, complete duties required during shift.

· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

· Must be able to walk up and down stairs

· Must be able to stand for long periods of time

· Must be able to bend, squat and kneel.

· Must complete ServSafe
