Schedule: Full-Time | Day Shift | Monday-Thursday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Friday 8:00 am - 12:00 pm

What You’ll Do

Under the close supervision by the Director of Behavioral Health and Midland Specialty, the Behavioral Health Patient Experience Expert serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a warm, welcoming, and professional environment. They will monitor CAN’s Behavioral Health Providers’ schedule to ensure productivity, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. The scheduler will also be responsible for scheduling referrals and follow up appointments for behavioral health therapist and psychiatrists.

  • Provides behavioral health introduction and expectations.
  • Ensures all behavioral health patients have completed new patient intake forms, new patient appointments and behavioral health follow ups are accurately and timely scheduled.
  • Communicate with behavioral health leadership on day-to-day challenges or needs.
  • Will review and track behavioral health patients and communicate data on productivity, client engagement, and policy adherence to the behavioral health leadership.
  • Responsible for overseeing behavioral health provider schedules and ensuring providers are optimally scheduled.
  • Answers phone calls and emails from patients assisting them with scheduling upcoming appointments and/or rescheduling appointments.
  • Works collaboratively with all departments to ensure a positive patient experience.
  • Make sure patients have transportation to appointment if patient has no transportation.
  • Updates patient records to verify all patient demographic and contact information.
  • Answers the telephone and connect callers to the appropriate offices, department, or individual staff.
  • Greets patients and prospective patients and answers general behavioral health program questions.

Requirements:

Education/Professional:

  1. Highschool diploma or equivalent (GED)
  2. Minimum 2 years of administrative experience in the behavioral health setting.
  3. Must be able to operate a motor vehicle and have valid insurance and driver’s license.

Salary: $21-$24 per hour based on experience

Must be able to pass a Level I and Level II Background check as required
