Were seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support the Director of Nursing (DON) in planning, supervising, and coordinating nursing services across our medical-surgical and psychiatric units. In this leadership role, you will help guide nursing teams, strengthen clinical practice, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote a culture of safety and high-quality care. Youll play a vital part in delivering excellent care while empowering staff and contributing to the overall performance of the facility.What Youll Do Partner with the DON to plan, develop, and oversee nursing operations across all units. Support efforts to ensure individuals served remain free from abuse, mistreatment, and neglect. Assist with developing, updating, and implementing nursing policies, procedures, and systems aligned with state, federal, and regulatory standards. Coordinate orientation and required training to prepare new staff for independent practice. Help manage nursing systems that support patient rights and promote consistent, quality care. Participate in on-call rotation and provide guidance to nursing supervisors as needed. Assist with recruiting, selecting, and onboarding nursing employees. Complete performance evaluations and support corrective action processes. Develop, manage, and adjust staffing schedules to ensure adequate coverage for all shifts. Conduct nursing rounds, lead unit huddles, complete chart reviews, and identify opportunities for improvement. Facilitate ongoing staff communication and ensure dissemination of important information. Support performance improvement (PI), risk management, infection control, and patient safety initiatives. Serve on clinical committees and interdisciplinary groups that influence care delivery. What Were Looking ForEducation Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (required) Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) (preferred) Experience Two (2) years of experience as a nursing supervisor, charge nurse, or similar leadership role in medical-surgical or psychiatric nursing (required) Licenses/Certifications Current, unrestricted RN license in the state of employment or valid multi-state compact license (required) Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required) All client-mandated certifications and training (required) Why Join UsAs Assistant Director of Nursing, youll have the opportunity to guide nursing teams, strengthen clinical operations, and advocate for best practices across the facility.
