About This Position
Primary Role:
The Apparel Production Associate is a hands-on manufacturing role responsible for performing a variety of production tasks across multiple departments, including stitching, felling, embroidery, weaving, printing, cutting, and quality control. This role ensures apparel products are accurately assembled, decorated, inspected, and prepared for fulfillment. Associates must be flexible and capable of working across different workstations, depending on daily production needs.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Stitching & Seaming
- Join fabric using lockstitch machines, sergers, bar tackers, and merrow stitch machines.
- Perform triple-felled seams and operate flatlock machines as needed for specific products.
Embroidery
- Operate embroidery machines including hooping, programming designs, and bundling products.
- Enter production data into logs and conduct light machine maintenance.
Weaving
- Load yarn into kreels and operate section dressers and looms.
- Create warps, tie-in into looms, operate looms for fabric production, and perform maintenance.
- Press woven fabric using a heat press.
Printing & Pressing
- Load large-format printers with design rolls and configure print layouts using software.
- Transfer designs to fabric using heat press and coordinate with laser cutting operations.
- Perform basic printer maintenance.
Cutting (Lectra & Laser)
- Operate Lectra and laser cutting systems, including loading materials, selecting cut files, and bundling finished cuts.
- Inspect and prep cut fabric for sewing or printing.
- Maintain machines and ensure clean, accurate cuts.
Quality Control
- Inspect finished products for defects or inconsistencies.
- Fold, label, package, and box apparel for fulfillment.
- Record quality outcomes and escalate persistent issues
Cross-Functional Expectations
- Follow daily labor assignments from the Team Lead.
- Participate in cross-training across departments.
- Maintain clean and organized workstations.
- Adhere to safety protocols and report equipment concerns promptly.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Prior manufacturing or textile experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and machine interface usage.
- Strong work ethic, dependability, and willingness to learn new processes.
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
Physical Requirements:
This position involves frequent physical activity in a manufacturing environment. Employees are cross-trained and expected to perform a variety of production tasks, which may change based on operational needs. The following physical demands reflect essential functions of the role:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds independently
- Ability to stand for extended periods, up to 10 hours per shift
- Frequent bending, squatting, twisting, and overhead/waist-level reaching
- Repetitive use of hands, wrists, and fingers for tasks such as sewing, assembly, or material handling
- Occasional pushing/pulling of carts or equipment with up to 25 pounds of resistance
- Adequate manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to operate machinery and handle small components
- Ability to walk between workstations, production zones, or storage areas
- Visual acuity to inspect products for quality and compliance
- Hearing ability to respond to instructions and audible safety alerts

- On-Site
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
