About the Role:

The 2nd Shift, Monday-Thursday 4:30pm-2:30am, Paint Line Helper plays a crucial role in supporting the efficient operation of the paint line during the evening shift. This position ensures that all materials and equipment are prepared and maintained to facilitate a smooth painting process, contributing directly to product quality and production timelines. The role involves close collaboration with the paint line team to assist in loading, unloading, and organizing parts, as well as monitoring the line for any issues that may arise. Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols are essential to maintain a safe and productive work environment. Ultimately, the Paint Line Helper helps optimize the paint line workflow, ensuring that production goals are met consistently and effectively.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing or production line environments.
  • Willingness to work the 2nd shift schedule consistently.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or paint line environment.
  • Familiarity with safety standards and protocols related to paint operations.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude to assist with minor equipment adjustments.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Forklift certification or experience operating material handling equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in setting up and preparing the paint line for the 2nd shift operations.
  • Load and unload parts and materials onto the paint line as required.
  • Monitor the paint line for any operational issues and report them promptly to supervisors.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area to comply with safety and quality standards.
  • Support the paint line team by providing tools, supplies, and assistance as needed throughout the shift.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Participate in routine inspections and maintenance tasks to ensure equipment is functioning properly.
