Job Description:

Magnum is seeking skilled and experienced design engineers to join our team at Samsung Semiconductor’s Facilities Services 3D & Engineering team. T1 FS 3D&E is part of the Design group and is responsible for all 3D output within the department. Our design focus is centered on the planning of utility hook-up for our semiconductor manufacturing equipment. Our team is driven by innovation, high collaboration between multiple departments, swift execution, and continuous improvement. Day-to-day job requirements include 3D modeling design review, fulfilling process requests, tracking design progress, reporting and sharing key metrics, developing standards, and complex problem solving internal and external to the department.

Education, Training, Certification(s) and Minimum # Years Required:

· Minimum 4-year Bachelor of Engineering degree.

· An FE Exam passing result is a plus.

· 4 to 8 years of design experience; semiconductor facility support preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Software, and Tools:

· Working knowledge of OSHA standards, IBC, and other codes and standards applicable to industrial facility design and construction.

· Proficiency in 3D CAD design. Preferably Autodesk Revit and Inventor.

· Proficiency in 2D AutoCAD.

· Experience managing and leading projects.

· Ability to read and understand design plans and shop drawings.

· Familiarity with design and installation of facility equipment.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills including presentation skills.

· Proficiency in MS Office programs including Project, Excel, Word, and Power Point.

· Ability to work overtime / on non-scheduled days as needed.

· Reliable and punctual attendance is required.

Physical Requirements:

This position is primarily in an office environment. However, field investigation of in-plant piping, civil, structural, or mechanical equipment requires the ability to wear personnel protective equipment (PPE) such as flame-retardant clothing (FRC), hard hat, safety eyewear, safety footwear, fall protection harnesses or other specialty PPE. Ability to manipulate office materials and/or equipment and occasionally Lift, Hold/Carry 5-10lbs.

Required Climbing Abilities:

To move up or mount stairs and ladders by using the hands or feet as required including, a step stool ladder, 8’ to 10’ ladder, extension ladder and/or stairs of 1-3 or more flights.

Frequency is occasional as required by job duties 9 plus hours per day.

Required ability to walk over terrain conditions:

Flat

Rough
