About This Position
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for the oversight of Harbor Retirement Associates (HRA) communities operations and corporate compliance under limited direction of the Vice President of Operations, for a specific regional area. Incumbent in the position stimulates strategic planning in order for each community to meet or exceed budgeted census and revenue goals; promotes company- and community-wide teamwork; works with other regional operators and the Chief Operating Officer to develop and disseminate tactical objectives, measurements, training initiatives, reporting tools, etc. The goal of this position is to assist community staff to achieve and maintain census and revenue goals.
Essential Functions:
· Attainment of budgeted financial performance
· Attainment of census goals
· Sound operational performance
· Adherence to all Harbor Retirement Associates policies and procedures.
· Rates continue to increase as market area permits
· Excellent resident care and services rendered by well-trained staff
· Hires and trains Executive Directors and supervises their activities
· Assists in the preparation of annual budgets and business plans for each property.
· Responsible ensuring the licensing and compliance with regulations
· Monitors all reports from Executive Directors and prepares all reports for the Chief Operation Officer
· Heavy travel among multiple HRA communities is required.
· The ability to work in a safe and alert manner
· The ability to take ownership for associate’s safety and the safety of the residents
· Must disclose any medication that might impair associate’s ability to perform the job safely or competently
Non-Essential Functions:
· Maintains confidentiality of all pertinent information.
· Possesses strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
· Interacts professionally and effectively with all levels of the organization, etc.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
· All associates are responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for all community residents
Requirements:Qualifications/Educational Requirements:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or other related degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in several of the key administrative areas.
· At least 5 years managing at a senior level a range of operational systems in Senior Living.
· Experience managing multiple communities required. SNF experience is a plus.
· Multi-site operational oversight required.
· Experience with marketing plan development and execution.
· Must be a strategic visionary with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment and strong operational focus.
· Experience in personnel management, strategic and operational planning required.
· Must demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
· Proficient in the use of relevant technology applicable for the position.
· Interacts with a variety of clients, customers, vendors and colleagues.
Position may travel up to 90% of the time.
