This role offers the opportunity to combine technical agronomic expertise with business development, helping farmers and partners maximize crop performance using innovative, nano-enabled crop protection solutions. The Technical Sales Agronomist will provide critical support through trial management, agronomic recommendations, and education, while building strong relationships with key stakeholders in the Western and Midwest U.S. markets. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive product adoption, generate actionable insights, and influence grower decision-making. This position blends fieldwork with strategic input, allowing you to shape product development, messaging, and market growth. The role is highly interactive, requiring strong communication, technical knowledge, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced agricultural environment.
Establish and maintain relationships with key influencers, distributors, retailers, consultants, and growers across the U.S. crop markets.
Plan, execute, and oversee field trials, including data collection, analysis, visualization, and reporting to support product launches and portfolio growth.
Provide technical training and support to internal teams and external partners to ensure effective adoption of crop protection solutions.
Collaborate with Product Development, Biology, Sales, and Marketing teams to capture agronomic insights and translate them into actionable business strategies.
Support the introduction of new products and technologies to the market, ensuring alignment with grower needs and production challenges.
Contribute to the company culture by actively participating in cross-functional initiatives and sharing expertise to drive overall business growth.
Requirements:
Master’s degree in Agronomy, Crop Physiology, Plant Pathology, Agricultural Science, Plant Production, or related field.
7+ years of experience in agronomy support, technical service, or crop protection sales within the U.S. agricultural market.
Strong knowledge of crop protection products, cropping systems, precision agriculture technologies, and irrigation practices.
Proven experience managing small plot trial programs, analyzing agronomic data, and generating actionable insights.
Ability to build relationships with key influencers, ag retailers, distributors, seed companies, and growers.
Excellent communication, presentation, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with a collaborative and independent mindset.
Valid U.S. driver’s license, passport, and willingness to travel up to 50% domestically and occasionally into Canada.
