DevOps Engineer

About the Organization
Now is a great time to join Redhorse Corporation. We are a solution-driven company delivering data insights and technology solutions to customers with missions critical to U.S. national interests. Were looking for thoughtful, skilled professionals who thrive as trusted partners building technology-agnostic solutions and want to apply their talents supporting customers with difficult and important mission sets.

About the Role
Redhorse transforms the way government uses data and technology. To support this mission, we are seeking a DevOps Engineer to serve as the engine behind the FBI’s Continuous Delivery Pipeline. In this role, you will be responsible for enhancing the Application Development Environment (ADV) and automating software deployments across multiple highly secure enclaves. Your immediate impact will be felt as you lead the cloud-agnostic migration of the "Pinnacle" backlog from Azure DevOps (ADS) to GitLab and Jira, ensuring that the Bureau's development teams can deliver mission-critical capabilities at the speed of relevance.
Key Responsibilities
  • Architect and enhance the FBI’s Application Development Environment (ADV) to support modern software delivery.
  • Automate deployment processes across multiple security enclaves, ensuring consistency and reliability in classified environments.
  • Lead the complex, cloud-agnostic migration of project backlogs and pipelines from Azure DevOps Server (ADS) to GitLab and Jira.
  • Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines integrated with automated quality gates and security scanning tools.
  • Configure and manage Linux-based server environments and cluster-based computing resources to support development needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement DevSecOps best practices and minimize deployment friction.
Required Experience/Clearance
  • Active U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps or System Engineering.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience operating and administering Azure DevOps Server (ADS), GitLab, and Jira.
  • Proven experience building enterprise-scale CI/CD pipelines with integrated security and quality gates.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Linux-based server configuration and management.
  • Experience with cluster-based computing and managing development environments across partitioned networks.
Desired Experience
  • Current SAFe DevOps Practitioner (SDP) certification.
  • Experience with automated configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, or Puppet).
  • Proven track record in release management and orchestration within a government or defense context.
  • Experience with cloud-agnostic tool integration and containerization strategies.
  • Familiarity with FBI-specific security protocols and enclave structures.
