Food Service Driver

Job Summary

Deliver patient meals and supplies to and from Shannon locations. Completes cleaning duties as assigned including manual ware wash, floor care, trash removal.

Physical Requirements

Working Conditions

Primarily Works in a well-lighted and air-conditioned environment with period of heavy workload and stress. This role may include working in less-than-ideal home conditions, which can include exposure to extreme temperatures and environments that may not meet typical cleanliness standards such as clutter, unkept surfaces, and homes with pets. Works in various conditions.

Performance: Essential Functions

Time Management: Works efficiently and manages duties to ensure that tasks are completed with accuracy and within the scheduled shift or reasonable amount of time.

Computer Knowledge & Electronic Equipment Use: Demonstrates ability to consistently utilize electronic equipment and online computer programs to perform job duties, including electronic documentation, and order entry.

Resource Utilization: Consistently utilizes and maintains supplies and equipment to minimize lost charges and unnecessary equipment repair-replacement.

Confidentiality: Adheres to established policies on privacy and security requirements for compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), as applicable by Shannon Policy.

Performance: Position Specific Essential Functions

  • Consistently demonstrates the knowledge and skills needed to meet the standard of performance in food safety and sanitation including labeling and dating products, cleaning and sanitizing, discarding towels and aprons, compliance with safety in dress code and hand hygiene.
  • Set-up & break down dish machine to recommended standards, take out curtains & wash arms, clean drains, screens & undermachine. Wipe down dish machine daily. Delime once a week. Maintain temp log 3x a day, T-strip check daily, 3 compartment sink system utilized.
  • Demonstrates the knowledge and ability to perform the following assigned duties: chemical storage closet organized. Chemical bottles labeled correctly. Broken dish bucket utilized. Trash cans are cleaned & sanitized as needed. Janitor closet maintained & organized. Grease discarded daily & barrel cleaned daily. Follow all MSDS & PPE guidelines as required. All other cleaning duties as assigned.
  • Consistently demonstrates the ability to meet the goals/needs for patients meals including presentation of condiment basket/menu; timely and courteous delivery of patient trays; high percentage return of menus; timely arrival at tray line and effective participation in tray line to meet 70 minute goal.
  • Delivers patient carts to docking station, re-therms patient trays according to meal service and completes test tray after each re-therm process for quality monitoring.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

  • Preferred
    • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent

Experience:

  • Preferred
    • Six months of experience in Hospitality/Food Services

Certification/Licensure:

  • Required
    • Valid Texas Driver's License
  • Preferred
    • TDH or ServSafe
