Pay rate: $42 to $46/hr, depending on experience
This is a hybrid position.
The Corporate Paralegal/Contract Administrator plays a vital role in providing functional and operational support within the Office of Legal, Governance and Compliance and cross-functionally to internal stakeholders through contract lifecycle management.

As a member of the Legal team, the Corporate Paralegal/Contract Administrator, under the direction of the Manager of Legal Operations or his/her designee, will be responsible for a variety of legal projects and tasks. This person will also work closely with other corporate counsel and be an integral part of the legal team. Specifically, the position supports legal functions and various legal and special projects, which may include, but are not limited to:
- Maintenance, management, and tracking throughout the contract’s lifecycle - from initiation through execution and renewal in collaboration with internal stakeholders and Counsel. Perform first round draft/review of agreements, including verification of identification of parties, effective dates, etc. and coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather contract requirements. Maintain the centralized contract repository and track key dates (renewals, expirations, compliance deadlines).
- Develop and maintain business relationships and work effectively with internal business partners and outside counsel and consultants.
- Provision of litigation support, including the updating of case tracker to reflect case activity, tracking and management of legal holds, and responding to subpoenas and authorizations for documents. Assist in supporting any litigation and claims management, including documentation and coordination with internal and external counsel.
- Maintaining LSAC’s intellectual property organization system and working with internal stakeholders and outside counsel on the same including tracking of registrations and internal organization.
- Support the Misconduct and Irregularities program, including but not limited to the review and preparation of files, and interpretation of applicable rules; data collection and entry; coordinating with candidates, and other LSAC staff throughout the duration of the cases; developing reports; and maintaining database for accuracy of case cycle and details.
- Drafting and revising legal documents as requested by Legal Counsel, including correspondence, spreadsheets, and presentations.
- Assisting with required state and regulatory registrations including filing and tracking.
- Assisting with document organization, management, and department records management.
- Maintaining an on-going work plan for the position with a timeline for relevant tasks and document location.
- Other duties which may be assigned from time to time, including supporting legal, governance, and compliance colleagues on projects or initiatives as may be assigned.
The nature of work requires building positive relationships with business partners and producing accurate and dependable deliverables. Assignments require considerable judgment and initiative.
The holder of this position must be capable of independent action, understand implications of work and make recommendations for solutions and/or other improvements. The position will often learn highly confidential business information and must be able to maintain strict confidentiality.
This position requires:
- Strong knowledge of contract law and legal terminology.
- Experience operating with attention to detail and rendering excellent customer-service oriented support.
- A curious mindset, adaptable approach, and independent problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with legal technology. Knowledge and experience using a document management system, preferably iManage, and a contract lifecycle management system, preferably Workday/Evisort.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to multi-task and have excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to work in an accurate manner.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and to perform multiple tasks simultaneously with minimum supervision in a fast-paced environment.

- Good listening skills and patience in working with internal stakeholders and contract owners as well as LSAC attorneys, staff, and employees, vendors, outside counsel, and consultants.

- B.A. or B.S. degree, or a paralegal certificate, or significant, other relevant experience
- Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in a legal, compliance, or contract administration role.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Position Type
The LSAC standard business hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:45 p.m. ET. While these are the standard office hours for LSAC, as an exempt employee, the employee will be expected to work the hours necessary to satisfactorily complete their assignments in a responsible and professional manner.
Work Environment
This job operates in a remote and professional office environment. Whether remote or in-office, this role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

There is no travel expected for this position.
