Combination Welder - Shop at Process Service Specialists – Walker, Louisiana

PSS LLC is currently hiring Combination Welders for a shop fabrication project located in Walker, LA. The scope of work is primarily welding and tacking of carbon steel pipe using GTAW, GMAW, and FCAW processes.

Job Type: Temporary

Pay:

• $30/hr – GTAW (TIG) tacking only – Must pass TIG RT test
• $36/hr – GTAW (TIG) pipe welder – Must pass two TIG bend tests
• $43/hr – GTAW/GMAW/FCAW pipe welder – Must pass bend test for all three processes

Duration & Schedule: approximately 5 months; 4 – 10’s initially; overtime schedule implemented during the project.

• Speak, read, and write the English language
• Physically lift up to 80 lbs.
• 2+ years of fabrication and welding experience
• Read & interpret pipe isos, drawings, and specifications.
• Measure, cut, and fit carbon, stainless steel, and alloy pipe.
• Complete accurate butt weld fit ups.
• Setup and operate an oxygen/acetylene torch rig for cutting or preheating tasks.
• Setup and operate a welding machine for required welding processes.
• Weld pipe per welding procedure using all qualified welding processes.
