Babbitting Service, Inc (BSI) is a leader in the manufacture, design and repair of Hydrodynamic Fluid Film Bearings (Babbitt Bearings) and related parts since 1961. BSI services OEM's, aftermarket, and end users across the globe. We are seeking to hire a Deburring & Part Marking Technician to join our team. We are looking for someone with a steady hand and a keen eye for detail to handle the final finishing of critical components using various hand and power tools.
Description:
- Learn and perform general deburring duties such as removing sharp edges and excess material using hand tools from machined parts using hand tools and power tools.
- Disassemble & reassemble parts for deburring process.
- Review drawings and routers for assembly components and assemble as required.
- Use overhead crane for lifting and handling larger parts.
- Set up equipment and perform product identification marking on parts using scribing machine, laser marking machine, hand scriber, metal stamps, or chemical etching equipment.
- Review part drawings for any specific marking location or information.
- Visually inspect parts for any imperfections that may need extra attention.
- Responsible for keeping work area safe, clean and organized.

· 1-2+ years’ experience in deburring or metal finishing is preferred but willing to train the right candidate.
· Proficient with small hand tools (carbide burrs, files etc.) and power tools such as but not limited to drills and Dremel’s.
· Strong manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and attention to detail.
· Must be able to follow instructions.
· Ability to read blueprints and understand technical drawings is a plus.
· Patience and the ability to maintain focus on detailed tasks.
· Be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
