Job Description
Job Summary
The Graphic Designer supports the Public Affairs department through the accomplishment of daily tasks. Assignments include but not limited to graphics production, publications production and digital illustration support. All activities supports the department’s responsibilities of disseminating news and information about the hospital, its programs and projects, to the media and relevant internal and external audiences.
Work Experience:
One year of experience in marketing, communications or related field preferred
License/Registration/Certification:
None
Education and Training:
Associate’s degree in design or illustration, marketing communications or related field required,
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Skills:
- Understands and has knowledge of writing for mass audiences.
- Excellent computer knowledge for both MAC and PC environments.
- Ability to be proficient in basic design programs including.
- Adobe Creative Suite and knowledge of video editing software
- Ability to utilize writing and proofing skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and administrative skills
- Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks within identified time frames
- Ability to be organized, dependable and detail oriented.
- Ability to learn in a fast pace environment.
- Ability to work well under pressure and with high sense of urgency
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Good to excellent administrative organization and communications skills
- Ability to type 30 or more wpm
