REGISTERED ULTRASOUND TECH - RADIOLOGY

JOB REQUIREMENTS
-
Education
-
Minimum of an Associate degree in an allied health field required. Candidate must meet requirements for registry by the Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers. If registry eligible, the ARDMS must be taken and passed within one (1) year of employment.

Experience

Sufficient working knowledge of the different phases of ultrasound the operation of assigned equipment.

Physical

This is a safety sensitive position. Please see the St. Bernards Substance Abuse Policy for further information.

Normal hospital environment. Close eye work. Hearing of normal and soft tones. Occasional exposure to chemical hazards. Operates ultrasound machine, computer, printers. Continuous standing and walking, frequent bending and stooping, Lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs., pushing/pulling to 300 lbs.

JOB SUMMARY

Under the direction of a radiologist and the supervision of the department manager, performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative.
