Overview
The Chief of Cybersecurity will be responsible for ensuring compliance across EB’s enterprise network, and will report directly to the Manager of Cybersecurity. This position requires the ability to understand, oversee implementation and enforcement of the security policies and procedures that are required by: OPNAVINST N9210.3, DFARS, NIST SP 800-171, GD Corporate Policy, CMMC, and other applicable guidance; to include Cloud Computing and Artificial Intelligence.
The successful candidate will lead a team of ISSMs and ISSOs responsible for ensuring the appropriate operational security posture is maintained for Information Systems (IS) processing Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) on the EB enterprise network.
The individual must be comfortable briefing all levels of management on risks and vulnerabilities associated with Information Systems at EB, and be able to lead a team of cybersecurity professionals.
Responsibilities include oversight & management of:
- The day-to-day security operations and maintenance of systems;
- Organizational Policies and Procedures;
- Security training and awareness;
- Monitoring systems to include utilizing security software tools to conduct vulnerability assessments, continuous monitoring scans, and system security features and control verification;
- Periodic inspections and audits of systems;
- Assessments and authorizations of systems;
- Documenting, implementing, and maintaining system security plans and ensuring systems are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with security policies and procedures;
- Configuration Management to the system and assessing the security impact of configuration changes.

Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an ISSM, ISSO, or related field
- Professional Cybersecurity certification
- Detailed knowledge of DFARS, NIST 800-171, CMMC, and Cloud Security controls
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
- Experience and understanding of EB networks and configurations
- Experience interacting with government representatives and auditors
