OR Circulator Registered Nurse

Speare Surgical Services is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy a variety of surgical cases and tasks. Perioperative nurses use the nursing process to develop individualized plans of care to coordinate and deliver care to patients undergoing operative or other invasive procedures. Perioperative nurses have the skills and knowledge to assess, diagnose, plan, intervene, and evaluate the outcomes of nursing interventions.

A sign-on bonus of $15,000 is available for an experienced OR Nurse.

What You’ll Do:

  • Summary: Under the direction of the Nurse Clinical Coordinator, Nurse Director of Surgical Services and Chief Nursing Officer, the OR Circulator RN is responsible for the delivery of safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the operating room and other areas of perioperative services for all patient populations. Surgical services supports the mission, vision, and values of the organization. The Operating Room follows Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses (AORN) standards, Central Sterile (CS) follows Association of the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) standards, and Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) follows the American Society of PeriAnesthesia Nurses (ASPAN) standards.
  • Quality Care: Provide nursing care based on the State of New Hampshire Scope of Nursing practice and hospital policy, making independent judgements and seeking guidance and support from appropriate sources when necessary. Develop appropriate plan of care that includes educational needs within 24 hours of patient admission to meet identified patient needs, determine measurable expected outcomes, implement specific nursing interventions, evaluate patient progress each shift and revise care plan accordingly.
  • Leadership: Delegate and oversee care delivered by LPNs, LNAs, EMTs and/or Paramedics, Patient Care Attendants, and scrub technicians: Provide leadership and direction to the patient care staff, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in providing optimal patient care.
  • Patient Safety/Patient Rights: Participate actively in efforts to reduce adverse patient care events, protect patient information, and act ethically in all areas of practice.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively and effectively with all members of the patient care team.

What We’re Looking For:

Required:

  • Associate’s Degree or Diploma in Nursing.
  • Must be a licensed Registered Nurse in the State of New Hampshire. Have current BLS certification (adult, child, and infant).
  • ACLS required within 6 months of hire
  • Previous experience in the acute health care setting or similar with operating room experience

Preferred:

  • Bachelor of Nursing
