• Greet customers warmly and enthusiastically immediately upon entrance to the restaurant.
• Open doors for customers whenever possible. Make guests feel welcome with a smile and sincerity.
• Keep track of the wait list and quote wait times accurately.
• Be aware of the progress of tables in the dining room and make sure tables are being greeted promptly upon seating.
• Engage in conversation with customers while escorting them to their table.
• Maintain cleanliness in the lobby and an organized host stand. Keep track of the rotation sheet and how many tables each server has to ensure customers are getting excellent service.
• Communicate and work well with other hosts.
• Restock guest restrooms and keep them spotless.
• Help clean dirty tables when needed.
• Thank the customers as they leave and invite them back.
• Answer the phone on the first ring according to Stix procedure and use a pleasant tone of voice.
• Be able to answer guests' questions regarding restaurant menu, policies, directions, etc.
• Take to go orders or help the to go servers as needed.
• Help maintain restaurant cleanliness and follow food safety procedures.
• Complete opening, running, and closing side-work as well as daily cleaning duties.
