Job Title: Welder Department: Manufacturing Reports To: Production Supervisor Job Summary: The Welder is responsible for safely and efficiently operating welding equipment to join metal components according to specifications. They must have a strong understanding of welding techniques, materials, and safety protocols to ensure high-quality work. Key Responsibilities: - Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and work orders to determine welding requirements - Select the appropriate welding process, equipment, and materials for the job - Set up and operate welding equipment such as MIG, TIG, and stick welders - Perform various welding techniques, including fillet, groove, and butt welds - Inspect welds for defects and make necessary adjustments - Maintain welding equipment and work area in a clean and organized manner - Adhere to all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) - Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely and efficient completion of projects - Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance welding processes and quality Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent - Completion of a welding training program or apprenticeship - 2-3 years of experience as a Welder, preferably in a manufacturing or fabrication environment - Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings - Strong knowledge of welding techniques, materials, and safety procedures - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills - Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy materials, and work in various environments If you meet the qualifications and are interested in this exciting opportunity, please apply today!
