As a Process Engineer, you will be responsible for engineering matters related to planning, managing and maintaining production methods, finishing processes and equipment. You will collaborate with colleagues in other engineering functions as well as production, quality, purchasing, planning and maintenance. You will be working on projects that result in a safer work environment, a higher quality product, a more efficient process, and a positive impact the company’s bottom line.

QualificationsBS in Mechanical, Chemical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering or combined related experience requiredPreferred Qualifications2-4 years engineering project experience in a metal manufacturing or finishing environment is preferredExperience in Lean manufacturing techniques, capability studies, process mapping, FMEA, and root cause analysisMust be capable of taking a project lead role and comfortable in a fast-moving continuous improvement cultureExcellent verbal and written communication skillsMust be able to manage multiple tasks with aggressive deadlinesThe ideal candidate is detail orientated and can understand complex process interactionsMust be computer literate and familiar with Microsoft OfficeCreo & AutoCAD a strong plus

As a Process Engineer, you will be responsible for engineering matters related to planning, managing and maintaining production methods, finishing processes and equipment. Responsibilities
- Examines equipment, processes, operations, and procedures to identify improvement opportunities in areas of safety, quality, throughput, and cost.Implement changes and modify operation standards.Evaluate vendor proposals for new equipment purchases.Select & implement suitable manufacturing processes and apply modern organizational principles to make products at a competitive cost.Identify & optimize current and new manufacturing processes using continuous improvementWork closely with production and maintenance to ensure equipment is operating in a like-new conditionConduct Capability Studies and perform Time StudiesProcess Development – may include Visual Work InstructionsProduction support and process trouble-shootingCost (scrap, rework, cycle time, etc.) reductionSpecify tools, jigs and fixturesProject coordination and daily troubleshootingParticipate in Kaizen event
