Responsibilities
Partner with Product Managers to understand Fintech product strategy, regulatory considerations, and customer needs.\
Translate business requirements into detailed user stories with clear acceptance criteria
Ensure backlog items are prioritized, refined, and ready for development.
Agile Facilitation & Delivery
Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Support a hybrid Agile model (Scrum + Kanban) to ensure efficient workflow and continuous delivery.
Remove blockers and promote team alignment and accountability.
Able to quickly adjust and support changing priorities per business needs.
Elicit and document functional and non-functional requirements, including compliance and security considerations relevant to Fintech.
Develop process flows, data mappings, system interaction diagrams, and basic wireframes where needed.
Manage individual release contents contributing to the management of the overall development roadmap.
Analyze APIs and integrations; support testing and validation efforts.
Act as the primary interface between Product and Engineering teams.
Collaborate with Architects and Tech Leads to ensure requirements align with system design and technical feasibility.
Partner with QA/Automation teams to define test scenarios and acceptance criteria.
Work with DevOps and Production Support teams to ensure smooth releases and incident resolution.
Use tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira for backlog management and tracking.
Utilize Postman (basic level) to test APIs and validate endpoints as needed.
Maintain clear documentation in Confluence or similar platforms.
Create low-fidelity wireframes or mockups to clarify requirements when necessary
Communicate effectively across geographically distributed teams.
Provide regular updates on progress, risks, and dependencies.
Facilitate stakeholder demos and feedback sessions.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in a software engineering environment, preferably within Fintech or financial services.
Strong experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid).
Hands-on experience facilitating Scrum ceremonies.
Excellent skills in writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional documentation.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Experience working with distributed/global teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Scrum Master Certification (e.g., CSM, PSM) is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps or Jira.
- Experience with wireframing tools such as Balsamiq (or similar) to create mockups and visual requirements.
- Understanding of APIs, microservices architecture, and system integrations.
- Basic experience using Postman for API testing.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Basic understanding of Oracle SQL for querying and validating data.
