About This Position
An on-call event staff member provides flexible, as-needed support for event setup, execution, and breakdown. Key duties include assisting with venue preparation (chairs/tables), greeting guests, managing logistics, and cleaning up, often working irregular hours on short notice. Strong customer service and adaptability are essential.
Core Responsibilities:
Set Up and Breakdown: Arranging, assembling, and tearing down event equipment, tables, chairs, and decorations.
Guest Services: Greeting attendees, checking tickets, ushering, and answering questions.
Event Support: Assisting event coordinators with daily tasks, staffing booths, or facilitating activities.
Logistics & Safety: Monitoring, ensuring safety, maintaining cleanliness, and troubleshooting issues.
Catering Support: Serving food and beverages, clearing tables, and managing inventory.
