About the Role
Southwest Freightline (SWFL) is seeking a driven and strategic Sales Executive to lead our U.S.–Mexico freight sales operations. This role focuses on expanding our customer base, strengthening relationships with key shippers, and driving revenue growth through dedicated and cross-border transportation solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect for leads to build a pipeline, including heavy cold calling.
  • Find new customers and drive new sales opportunities by identifying key decision makers and determining the appropriate approach.
  • Prospect via phone, internet, fieldwork, referrals, industry networking, and trade shows.
  • Collaborate with operations, pricing, and customer service to ensure load fulfillment and margin performance.
  • Contact and conduct initial discovery with customers via phone and email.
  • Track and report key performance metrics (miles, RPM, revenue per truck, etc.) to support company goals.
  • Facilitate face-to-face meetings, present proposals and solutions, close business.
  • Continuous engagement with customers to maintain close relationships and ensure ongoing success with accounts.
  • Succeed at heavy price and service negotiation with customers.
  • Translate business opportunities into incremental revenue through strong selling.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously with a sense of urgency.
  • Collaborate internally with various teams on pricing strategy, account implementation, and account growth plans.
  • Manages effective onboarding of new customers.
  • Work with management to ensure alignment with pipeline development, planning and forecasting.
  • Additional responsibilities as required.
Requirements:
  • 4+ years of experience in transportation or logistics sales (asset-based carrier preferred).
  • Strong understanding of cross-border freight operations (U.S.–Mexico).
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Results-oriented with proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
