About This Position
Responsible for the delivery of patient-centered, team-based care that falls within the allowable scope of practice. This includes working collaboratively with physicians, registered nurses and medical assistants to provide advanced practice physical and psychosocial assessments, diagnosis and management of health and illness needs. The primary responsibility of the Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant is direct patient care for all ages and genders, including both acute and chronic care. The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will also assist the Chief Medical Officer, Medical Director, and Staff Physicians in supervision of the nursing staff.

Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program required or Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant Program.
- License / Certification:
- Current BLS certificate
- Current Registered Nurse License
- Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant License
- DEA License
- Board of Registered Nursing Certification of Nurse Practitioners
- Board of Registered Nurses Certification Furnishing Number
Preferred Position Qualifications:
- Experience / Training: Two plus years’ experience as a Nurse Practitioner highly desirable; minimum of two years of experience in a community health; bilingual (English/Spanish)
