Basic Purpose
Serves as the primary resource for production of drawings for all engineering department personnel. Orders material, aids in the development of design standards, and provides applicable technical support to field construction and maintenance crews. Leads projects, as needed.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Prepares discipline related / specific design drawings.

Trains technicians and engineers on new and revised AutoCAD tools.

Reviews engineering consultants design package submittals for QA/QC ACAD formatting.

Coordinates and executes the issuance of design package to construction personnel.

Analyzes customer requests to determine compliance with national and local codes and standards.

Develops and maintains professional and technical relationships with external customers and local government agencies.

Implements and coordinates the development, integration, and maintenance of applicable compatible units and other design standards and processes.

Develops and maintains ACAD standards manual and documentation.

Assists with project close-outs including record drawings and mapping updates.

Maintains department facilities Access database

Ensures all compliance aspects of position are known and followed; understands and complies with all policies, codes and regulations applicable to position and company.

Performs related duties as assigned.
