About This Position

Catawba Valley Healthcare seeks a full time MORES Family Partner who is responsible for providing community-based crisis services aimed at the prevention, intervention and stabilization of crisis events experienced by persons related to mental health, substance use and intellectual and developmental disabilities. This position will provide support to the individuals and families who meet criteria for the MORES program. This position will complete the initial MORES screenings with individuals and develop a treatment plan based off of needs identified in the screening. The MORES Family Partner will link the individual to resources which will address their need’s and coordinate transition to next level of service provider.

The family Partner will work as part of a team covering Burke and Catawba counties. The ability of work effectively as part of a team is highly important.

A Family Partner is a person with lived experience as a caregiver for a child with behavioral or mental health challenges, trained to provide empathetic support, advocacy, and system navigation to other families in crisis, helping them connect with resources and maintain youth in their homes through short-term, team-based crisis response. Any applicant must meet the above criteria. Minimum of Highschool diploma or equivalent.

Additional Job Requirements

Must be willing to complete the Family Partner training if not already certified.
Must possess the ability to effectively hear and verbally communicate with consumers, customers, and other employees. Must have the ability to use a computer and software to perform job responsibilities.
Must provide crisis prevention/intervention/consultation services in community locations and residential settings.
Valid Driver’s License and automobile insurance.
Must have physical mobility to respond and provide service in various community locations
