Cripe has an opening for a Project Architect. This position works on diverse architecture projects across market segments and with varying degrees of complexity, applying innovative design concepts and advanced professional knowledge - producing the project deliverables to represent the client objectives that meet Cripe Way Quality control standards.
Responsibilities include:
• Field work/site inspection and documentation.
• Construction Document (CD) lead and production reporting to the PM.
• Schematic Design (SD) and Design Development (DD) documentation with ability to present to clients and internal team.
• Various Construction Administration (CA) tasks as required.
Attendance at project kick off, construction progress meetings, etc. as requested.
• Develop and serve your client relationships to ensure repeat business and cross selling opportunities.
• Coordinates and interacts with team members, senior leadership, and stakeholders as well as external consultants - architects, engineers, and construction managers on projects of varying scope and scale.
• Project problem solving/finding solutions.
• Regular Quality Control of design and construction documents from production staff.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Candidates must hold a Professional Degree in Architecture with 5- 10 years of demonstrated experience.
• Registered Architect in Indiana preferred. ACHA Board Certification helpful, but not required.
• Strong REVIT proficiency across various project phases. LEED AP a plus. Fluency in BIM applications used to communicate designs and generate construction documents.
• Design portfolio demonstrating diverse building uses and creative solutions. Experience in multi-family and healthcare project a plus.
• Demonstrated Project Leadership in the communication of design solutions and direct the efforts of others.
• Experience in leading or supporting project documents in Construction Administration field or office activities.
• Able to quickly assess prototypical site adapt requirements and generate substantially adapted solutions.
• Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, follow-up, and time management skills.
• Lifetime learner with ability to teach and mentor.
• Self-directed work ethic capable of exercising discernment in the early phases of design throughout detailing and construction.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask with great attention to detail - proactive and deadline-oriented.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
