Construction Estimator in Gatesville, Texas at Coryell County International Contractors LLC

Duties

• Review project plans, drawings, and specifications to determine scope of work
• Perform quantity take-offs for materials, labor, and all trade components
• Request and review pricing from subcontractors and suppliers
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects
• Track and maintain cost data and pricing information
• Work closely with project managers and team members to ensure accurate bids
• Identify potential risks or cost-saving opportunities
• Prepare and submit bid proposals
• Attend pre-bid meetings or site visits when needed
• Assist with project handoff after award
• Maintain organized estimate files and documentation

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience as a construction estimator preferred
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and documents
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and project types
• Experience with estimating software (such as Procore, On-Screen Takeoff, QuickBid)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple bids and meet deadlines
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Degree in Construction Management or related field preferred, but not required
