About This Position
Summary:
This role is a floor-driven Senior Manufacturing Technician with a strong mechanical and industrial foundation, responsible for standardizing, and scaling assembly, test, and calibration processes across semiconductor solutions, instrumentation, and control valve product lines. The position exists to increase throughput, reduce variability, and enable rapid product introduction, while maintaining high quality standards in a mixed environment of distribution, light manufacturing, and engineered solutions.
Assembly Process Design & Standardization
- Develop and continuously improve assembly processes for:
- Semiconductor solution subassemblies
- Instrumentation (pressure, flow, temperature)
- Control valves and positioners
- Create clear, repeatable work instructions, process flows, and visual standards
- Drive consistency across builds to reduce variation and rework
Test & Calibration Systems Ownership
- Own setup, execution, and optimization of test and calibration processes
- Ensure accuracy, repeatability, and traceability of calibration outputs
- Identify and implement improvements in test efficiency and data capture
ERP Routing & Manufacturing Data Integrity
- Build and maintain manufacturing routings, BOM structures, and process steps in Acumatica ERP
- Align ERP structure with actual shop floor processes (no “paper process gaps”)
- Enable production visibility, scheduling accuracy, and cost tracking
Fixture & Tooling Design
- Design and implement fixtures, test setups, and assembly aids to:
- Improve repeatability
- Reduce cycle time
- Enhance safety and ergonomics
- Partner with external vendors as needed for fabrication
Troubleshooting & RMA Support
- Collaborate with quality on root cause analysis for:
- Production issues
- Field failures and RMAs

- Test/calibration procedures
- Best practices and standards
- Provide hands-on leadership on the floor (75% of time)
- Support development of a scalable, high-performing operations team
- Assist in the trouble shooting and red lining of existing processes and improvement
New Product Introduction (NPI) Support
- Enable introduction of new product lines by establishing:
- Assembly methods
- Configuration standards
- Test and calibration procedures
- Bridge Engineering ? Operations to ensure smooth production ramp
Day-in-the-Life (Operational Reality)
- Majority of time spent on the production floor improving builds in real time
- Actively working alongside technicians to resolve issues and optimize flow
- Updating ERP routings and documentation to reflect process improvements
- Responding to production bottlenecks and quality issues as they arise
Technical Competencies
- Process development and documentation
- Root cause analysis and troubleshooting
- Understanding of calibration standards and measurement systems
- ERP-based manufacturing environments (experience with Acumatica ERP strongly preferred) or equivalent ERP/MRP process control
Operating Style
- Floor-first mindset (not desk-bound engineering)
- Highly practical, solution-oriented
- Able to operate in low-structure, high-growth environments
- Strong ownership mentality with bias toward action
Preferred (Not Required)
- Control valve assembly, service, or configuration experience
- Experience with valve positioners and process control equipment
- CAD capability (fixture or tooling design)
- Exposure to semiconductor manufacturing environments
Leadership & Scope
- Leads and develops technicians within the department
