About the Role

Mickey Truck Bodies is hiring a Human Resources Generalist to join our team. The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for supporting our team members to ensure that our processes run smoothly while providing guidance and support for the day-to-day operations. This role is responsible for recruitment and onboarding, employee support, administration of company policy, procedures, and programs, while ensuring compliance with federal and state laws. We are looking for a professional that brings intergrity and a committment to confidentiality to every situation. You will work closely with employees and leaders across all levels of the company.

Mickey Truck Bodies is a premier manufacturer of state-of-the-art bodies and trailers, and specially engineered vehicles sold in over 50 countries around the world. The innovative product line-up is prevalent in industries such as food & beverage, vending, propane, rental trucks, emergency & rescue, battery, oil & natural gas, and data storage. The company operates in 4 states with and over 400 Mickey employees at these locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Performs talent management functions including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, succession planning, benefits administration, and leave administration.
  • Act as information resource for employees and managers with questions or people related issues, conflict management, performance management, and conduct internal investigative procedures.
  • Assist with timely completion of monthly and annual benefit adminstration
  • Process HR forms, maintain records, perform audits, to ensure all reuired documentation is complete.
  • Assist payroll to address and resolve HR/Payroll issues or processing
  • Ensure Company guidelines are followed consistently on disciplinary procedures, policy guidelines and terminations.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of policies and procedures, training needs, and other materials or template needs.
  • Acts as a change agent by recommending new approaches, streamlining policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed.
  • Assists with developing data-driven reporting for decision-making to foster business transformatio
  • Ensures legal compliance by monitoring, communicating, and interpreting all applicable Federal and State Laws, regulations, and company requirements such as EEO, ACA, FMLA, HIPAA, ERISA and ADA
  • Must always project a positive and professional image for the Company
  • Occasional outside local and out of town travel is required, involving driving and/or flying (15%)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HumanResources Management or other related field of study (e.g. Business, Accounting, Operations, Organizational Management)
  • Minimum of 3 years of broad human resources management experience with knowledge of best practices and principles including legal compliance and employee handbook/policies.
  • Minimum of 3 years manaufacturing experience preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Working knowledge of HRIS experience, ADP Workforce Now preferred
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills

Physical and Work Environment Requirements

  • Must be able to communicate clearly in person and over the phone
  • Requires ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 lbs
  • Requires ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, crawl and kneel
  • Specific vision ability required includes close, distance, color, and peripheral vision with depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to work around machinery of all types
  • Comfortable working in a office setting, occasionally exposed to manufacturing shop elements such as noise, dust, fumes, and odors.
