About This Position

As a Lead Mitigation Technician at Kustom, your knowledge and skills set the standard on every job. You lead by example whether you are are hands-on while running point for a team or working independently in the field. From start to finish, you uphold safety and quality standards and ensure accurate documentation on every project.
What You Do- Oversee and perform emergency water extraction, demolition, and debris removal
- Set up, operate, and monitor mitigation and drying equipment
- Remediate areas damaged by water, fire, or mold
- Provide guidance to crew members while working alongside them
- Ensure EPA, OSHA, and local safety compliance, including proper PPE use
- Document job progress, complete sketches, humidity/psychrometry records, and drying objectives
- Inspect work as needed for quality, safety, and compliance
- Maintain, repair, and track equipment and consumables
- Keep company vehicle stocked, clean, and ready for use
- Current IICRC certification
- High school diploma or GED
- 5+ years of experience in restoration or construction
- Valid Driver's License
- Desire to grow and ownership mentality
- Understanding of basic job site safety

- Ability to safely use hand and power tools
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and occasionally climb ladders, bend, kneel, and work in extreme hot, cold and humid conditions
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear
- Exposure to outdoor conditions, including inclement weather
- Ability to work in a construction environment
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high; ear protection worn as needed
