Job Title: Host / Hostess
Location: ROL Handroll Bar located in Irvine, CA
Job Type: Part-Time
Pay Rate: $17.00-$17.50 per hour plus tips

We are seeking an enthusiastic, friendly, and service-minded Host/Hostess to join the front-of-house team at ROL Handroll Bar in Irvine, CA. As the first point of contact for our guests, your role is vital in creating a warm, welcoming, and positive dining experience.

• Greet incoming and departing guests warmly with a genuine smile and eye contact

• Escort guests to their tables and present menus

• Communicate server introductions and promotions to guests

• Manage seating flow for dining room, bar, and patio; provide accurate wait times

• Prioritize guests with reservations and ensure smooth hand-offs to service staff

• Answer incoming calls professionally and assist with guest inquiries

• Monitor and support guest needs throughout their visit

• Assist with table settings, clearing, water refills, and occasional food running

• Maintain adherence to safety, sanitation, and alcohol policies

• Support teammates with additional duties as needed, including light prep work

• Day shifts / Night shifts

• Weekend availability required

• Availability on holidays required

• Expected to meet the minimum standard working hours as set by the company*

• 6 months to 1 year of experience in a full-service restaurant preferred

• Host/Hostess experience required

• Food Handler Card and Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification (training provided if needed)

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs

• Strong communication skills with the ability to hear and speak clearly in a busy environment

• Positive, outgoing, and team-oriented attitude

• Flexible and adaptable schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

• Attention to detail and adherence to sanitation standards

• Passion for hospitality and creating exceptional guest experiences

• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

• Professional demeanor and excellent phone etiquette

• $17.00-$1750 per hour plus tips
