Canine Handler - Lopez Lake at DOGS WITH JOBS LLC – Arroyo Grande, California

Do you have experience working with detection dogs? Do you care about keeping our waterways clean and free of harmful invasive species? Do you enjoy working with the public? Are you a dog lover? If this sounds like you, you may be a perfect fit with us at Mussel Dogs (a division of Dogs with Jobs LLC). We are looking to hire another team member to work one of our mussel detection canines at Lopez Lake. Our teams check watercraft for aquatic invasive species before they launch. This is a job for someone that is willing and able to work outside in all weather conditions. We will train qualified candidates with professional canine experience.

*We have part time seasonal positions open with shifts ranging from 6 to 8 hours. MUST be available every Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and all holidays from April to late September.

*You will be trained and responsible to inspect boats with a canine for invasive mussels prior to launching.

*Educate boaters on invasive species while using your customer service and data entry skills.

*No previous experience necessary.

**Please note these positions are outdoors. You will be exposed to both hot and cold weather.
