šŸŽÆ About the Role

We’re looking for a dedicated Surgical Scheduler to join our team and help us continue delivering the level of care our patients and families deserve. In this role, the Surgical Scheduler performs administrative duties under the direction of the physician. Duties include coordinating and scheduling surgical procedures and follow-up appointments. Works with office and clinical staff to coordinate scheduling of patients. Obtains insurance pre-authorization and pre-surgical clearance. Additional administrative duties may include maintaining medical records, billing, and coding information for insurance purposes.

šŸ” What You’ll Do

  • Pre-Authorization: Review patient insurance information and coordinate with insurance companies to obtain pre-authorization. Respond to insurance company requests for information in a timely manner.
  • Pre-surgical: Ensure all necessary paperwork such as consent forms are completed and on file. Schedule and ensure completion and clearance of all required tests prior to surgery. Provide patients with thorough information and instructions to prepare them for surgery.
  • Office Schedule: Coordinate surgical schedules with physician in office time. Works with other office staff to coordinate physician availability. Assists in rescheduling patients and ensuring timely follow-up.
  • Medical Records: Ensures that all appropriate documentation is included in the patient chart.

What You Bring

Strong knowledge of medical terminology required

Minimum of 3 years in physician practice experience
