About This Position

Arnold Machine Inc., in Tiffin, OH, designs and manufactures high-quality, customized automated equipment. We are seeking a creative, self-driven IT Systems Support Specialist with 3–5 years of experience who takes initiative, thrives with minimal supervision, and enjoys working directly with employees to troubleshoot escalated IT issues. This on-site role provides advanced technical support while developing and enhancing AI-driven tools and systems, supporting ERP and system integrations, and leveraging Power BI for reporting and insights across key IT projects. This role develops automations and AI-assisted solutions to improve efficiency while collaborating with internal teams and external vendors. Reporting to the Director of IT, the specialist focuses on hands-on problem-solving and tool development, complementing daily help desk and system administration tasks handled by our MSP.

Responsibilities:

  • Escalation & Emergency Support: Respond rapidly to urgent or escalated IT issues on-site, performing quick internal fixes and coordinating with the MSP for escalated or complex problems.
  • Project & Implementation Support: Assist with IT deployments, upgrades, migrations, and modernization efforts, including device preparation, testing, documentation, project coordination, and collaboration with MSP engineers, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Enterprise Applications Support: Provide support for Syteline ERP, CADLink/engineering integrations, and reporting tools, including user troubleshooting, workflow guidance, testing during upgrades or new module rollouts, resolving connectivity or data sync issues, coordinating with engineering teams and vendors, and assisting with access, workspace organization, and dashboard navigation.
  • Automation & AI Enabled Tool Development: Build and support internal tools, scripts, and workflows using Power Automate, PowerShell, Python, or similar technologies, leveraging AI tools to assist with code generation, troubleshooting, data processing, and solution design, while identifying automation opportunities, incorporating AI capabilities, and documenting solutions for maintainability, transparency, and security.
  • Security & Compliance Support: Ensure automation and AI tools comply with organizational security and compliance standards by supporting MFA checks, device compliance validation, access reviews, vulnerability remediation, incident response activities, and maintaining audit documentation.
  • Documentation & Coordination: Maintain system procedures, application documentation, and knowledge bases, providing organizational context to MSPs and vendors, while supporting governance, asset validation, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while contributing to a cross-functional team, building strong working relationships, and independently ensuring the quality inspection and accuracy of one’s own work.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of IT support or hybrid technical experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Proficiency with Windows 11, Microsoft 365, with a basic understanding of Azure/Entra ID concepts
  • Exposure to ERP systems (Syteline is preferred), CADLink, and reporting tools
  • Basic scripting or development skills (PowerShell, Python, or similar) with experience or comfort using AI tools to assist with building, testing, or improving technical solutions; familiarity with AI assisted workflow, Power Automate, low-code/no-code platforms, APIs and working with MSPs/external vendors are a plus
  • Strong organizational, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priority tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document processes clearly, with a positive attitude and adaptability to change
