Responsibilities
Job Requirements:
Health Technologists and Technicians, All Other
- Certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists as a Cytotechnologist, or other certification equal in academic and clinical requirements.
- B.S degree from an accredited university/college with twelve semester hours of science, including Biology.
- Successful completion of a twelve month AMA accredited Cytotechnology program.
- Successful completion of certification examination.
- Ability to accurately perform cytological procedures.
- Knowledge of cytological quality control methods.
- Knowledge of accreditation requirements for cytology.
- Ability to get along with others.
