Wellness Specialist at New Morning Market – Woodbury, Connecticut

Purpose: To provide clerical assistance and floor coverage in the Wellness Department, sharing product knowledge and making recommendations based on customer needs. The primary functions of the position are to maximize sales, profitability and customer service while consistently communicating and modeling the New Morning vision and mission.

DEPARTMENT MAINTENANCE

A. Provides support in the supplement area by pulling back stock, re-pricing of goods and works on inventory projects.

B. Hangs signs, checking that items are ringing correctly.

C. Orders from assigned product lines in approved amounts that have been predetermined by the Wellness Manager.

D. Ensures that Wellness displays, aisles and storage areas are clean and in orderly condition.

E. Be aware of merchandising plan for Wellness Department, help to maintain it and give feedback to department manager to ensure its success.

F. Maintain attractive, fully-stocked, rotated and faced sections. Reports stocking priorities to Department Manager for assignment to stockers. Stock as needed and time permits.

G. Ensure accurate, up-to-date labeling (or shelf tags) for department items.

H. Attend trade shows, conferences and workshops as assigned.

I. Watch for inventory that is not moving, overstocked or in danger of going out of code and alert department manager.

Must be available to work weekends!
