Job Description
Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant PRN
Responsibilities and Duties:
• Follow written POC program as given by supervising therapists, based on the individual patient needs and physician approval, to obtain goals.
• Communicate on a regular basis with supervising therapists’ approval, to obtain goals.
• Provide appropriate clinical follow-up by reporting unfavorable signs and symptoms to supervising therapists.
• Participate in case coordination regularly with staff nurses and physicians and documents appropriately in medical record.
• Use universal precautions and infection control as required to prevent cross contamination and transmission of disease with patients.
• Agency Acute Care Hospital rate is below average.
• Facilitate patients ROM, strength coordination, use of adaptive equipment and environmental modifications functional mobility and safety issues related to patient’s ADL performance needs under the supervision of the OTR.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Associate Degree in Occupational Therapy with current license to practice occupational therapy
• Current Certification in BSL/CPR
• Home Health Experience
• Valid Texas Driver's License and Automobile Insurance
• Knowledge of WellSky EMR software is a plus
