Sr. Lead Carpenter Lead High-End Residential Design-Build Remodels Job Overview
Company: NOR Design & Construction LLC.
Salary/Pay Rate: $40 to $50 per hour.
Location: Seattle, WA (Must reside within 30 miles).
Job/Employment Type: Full Time.
Schedule: Monday - Friday (Typical hours starting at 7:00 AM).
Mandatory Licenses & Certifications: Valid Driver's License and Clean Driving Record.
You will serve as the premier field leader for a boutique design-build firm, driving the execution of highly customized residential remodeling projects. This "bags-on" leadership role gives you the autonomy to manage internal teams and subcontractors while personally delivering elite craftsmanship. You will be the primary face of the company on-site, ensuring a unique and respectful client experience.
How You Will Make an ImpactSupervise and coach construction teams and trade professionals to maintain a positive, productive, and respectful workplace.
Manage daily job site production, ensuring all work strictly adheres to project scopes, architectural plans, and timelines.
Execute advanced carpentry tasks including structural framing, cabinetry installation, and high-end interior finish work.
Coordinate with city inspectors and subcontractors to prevent project delays and ensure all work meets quality standards.
Maintain an obsessed level of site organization and cleanliness, implementing rigorous dust and floor protection protocols.
Collaborate with the design team to provide technical insights on construction methods and cost-saving alternatives.
Oversee project procurement by verifying material deliveries and managing company assets to ensure site efficiency.
Minimum of 10 years of hands-on residential construction experience with advanced carpentry and supervisory skills.
Proven expertise in framing, window/door installation, siding, and intricate finish carpentry.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting CAD construction documents, including floor plans, elevations, and sections.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to remain calm and concise when interacting with high-end clientele.
Physical ability to perform heavy exertion, including lifting up to 100 lbs and navigating crawl spaces or ladders.
Reliable construction-appropriate transportation and a full suite of personal tools in good working order.
Current First Aid/CPR certification and deep familiarity with OSHA and L&I safety requirements.
Technical proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, including Excel, Teams, and SharePoint.
Demonstrated experience in project scheduling and material budget estimation for residential renovations.
