This role sits at the intersection of creative strategy, performance marketing, and audience psychology, shaping high-impact ad concepts that drive subscriber and customer acquisition for fast-growing digital brands. You will transform deep audience insights into compelling hooks, scripts, and ad angles used across static, video, and UGC formats. Working closely with designers, editors, and leadership, you’ll translate strategy into execution-ready briefs that consistently improve campaign performance. The role requires strong analytical thinking to interpret results from platforms like Meta Ads and refine messaging based on real performance signals. You’ll also contribute directly to client communication, helping explain creative rationale and growth outcomes. This is a highly collaborative, remote-first environment where creative thinking and data fluency go hand in hand. Your work will directly influence how leading newsletters and consumer brands scale their acquisition strategies.
In this role, you will drive the creative and strategic direction behind high-performing acquisition campaigns by combining research, copywriting, and performance analysis:
- Conduct audience research to uncover motivations, objections, and behavioral triggers across channels
- Develop conversion-focused creative strategies, ad angles, and campaign narratives
- Write persuasive hooks, scripts, and ad copy for multiple formats (static, video, UGC, advertorials)
- Translate strategy into detailed creative briefs for designers and editors to execute
- Analyze campaign performance metrics (CTR, CVR, CPA, ROAS) to refine messaging and iterate on creative direction
- Collaborate with leadership and creative teams to shape campaign strategy and optimization decisions
- Present insights and performance breakdowns to clients, clearly explaining creative reasoning and results
The ideal candidate brings strong direct-response marketing expertise combined with creative writing excellence and data-driven thinking:
- Proven experience in direct-response marketing with a portfolio of high-performing ads
- Background in DTC and/or e-commerce growth environments
- Exceptional copywriting skills with mastery of hooks, value propositions, and calls-to-action
- Strong understanding of audience psychology and persuasive messaging frameworks
- Ability to interpret performance data and translate insights into creative improvements
- Working knowledge of Meta campaign structures, metrics, and testing logic for performance interpretation
- Experience in client-facing communication and presenting strategic insights clearly and confidently
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills
