About the Role
Wasatch Peaks Credit Union is looking for Learning & Development Specialist who will support the design, development, and delivery of training programs that strengthen employee knowledge, operational performance, and member service excellence. What You'll Do
Training Development
- Develop training materials including presentations, e-learning modules, job aids, and operational guides
- Create procedures, checklists, and reference resources that support employee performance
- Continuously update training content to reflect process changes, compliance updates, and operational best practices
Training Delivery
- Facilitate instructor-led and on-the-job training for new hire Tellers and Member Service Center Agents
- Deliver operational training on topics including New Accounts, Wire Transfers, Business Accounts, Trust Accounts, IRAs, and aspects of lending
- Lead group learning sessions and create engaging simulations and learning experiences
- Conduct one-on-one employee development assessments and provide advancement training
Member Service & Relationship-Based Sales
- Maintain a strong understanding of credit union products and services
- Develop training programs that help employees identify member needs and recommend appropriate products and services
- Teach relationship-based sales and cross-selling techniques that strengthen member relationships
- Create conversation guides and training scenarios that build employee confidence in discussing financial solutions
- Support product education initiatives to ensure employees can effectively position credit union products and services
Operations Support and Learning Technology
- Maintain operational workflows, process documentation, and standard operating procedures that support employee performance and regulatory compliance
- Assist with the rollout of new products, services, and system updates by developing supporting training and operational documentation
- Maintain training content within the Learning Management System (LMS)
- Track participation, completion, and performance metrics in the LMS
- Assist in developing multimedia learning resources including videos, interactive modules, and digital learning tools
The Schedule
- The regular working hours for this position are Monday-Friday, 8:30am-6:00pm
Experience
- 1-3 years of similar or related experience
Skills
- The ability to motivate, influence, and train employees effectively
- Build strong relationships with others
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Operating and training others on computer systems (ex. Microsoft Suite)
- Maintain confidentiality and foster trust in relationships
Physical Requirements
- Ability to talk, hear, sit, use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms consistently
- Ability to stand, walk, kneel, and crouch occasionally
- Ability to lift or push up to 10 pounds consistently
