Registered Echo Sonographer - Heart & Vascular Specialists Clinic - Full-Time, Days

Work location: 8230 Walnut Hill Lane, Suite 220, Dallas, TX 75231

Work hours: Full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday thru Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

Travel: 50 % to surrounding clinics with rotation between our three clinic locations as needed ( mileage reimbursement provided )

Here's What You Need
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (required)
  • Associate Degree Related field (preferred)
  • RDCS - Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer through ARDMS Upon Hire (required) or
  • RCS - Registered Cardiac Sonographer Upon Hire (required)
  • Possess an excellent working knowledge of cardiac and pulmonary anatomy/pathology, the cardiac patient, and treatment of cardiac diseases
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good computer skills
  • Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism


What You Will Do
  • Delivers care to patients utilizing the Registered Echo Sonographer Process
  • Will produce two-dimensional ultrasonic recordings and Doppler flow analyses of heart and related structures, using ultrasound equipment, for use by physician in diagnosis of heart disease and study of heart.
  • Calibrates and maintains equipment and orders supplies when needed.
  • Calculates, measures, and documents appropriate values on the tests performed for review and interpretation by physicians.
  • Explains procedures to patient to obtain cooperation and reduce anxieties of patient.
  • May perform therapeutic procedures.
  • Enters patient information into computer database to record information on video cassette and strip printout of test.
  • Reviews test results with interpreting physician.
  • Communicates with physicians, managers, and co-workers as appropriate about changes in patient's clinical conditions while undergoing echocardiogram.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
